in Response to the Covid-19 Crisis

About FEDC WellSTART

Fremont Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) in coordination with local Fremont County wellness service providers and many community focused businesses is prepared to respond to the COVID-19 Crisis impacting Fremont County and surrounding areas. Working within the Colorado Connectors program, FEDC Operation Access intends to deliver a coordinated capability to reach and care for those in need in surrounding rural communities by leveraging person to person digital contact, new technology tools and legacy telehealth systems.

Operation ACCESS Project Objectives

To establish a telehealth virtual resource center that provides technology, training, policy and billing consultation to providers and general communication, technology instruction and device distribution to clients for in-home telehealth services.

To provide access to communication and technology for the underserved population in rural Colorado that will be among the hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis.

Establish a telehealth resource center that will serve as a community resource to enable area providers and clients to establish remote services both during and after the crisis.

We propose to establish a telehealth resource center that will serve as a community resource to enable area providers and clients to establish remote services.

The intent is to cause minimal disruption to on-going and new health/behavioral health service provision, and thereby, decrease virus spread, protect provider and client health and maximize availability of hospital services for the anticipated COVID-19 needs. The resource center will provide the following services:

Smart Phones / Tablets

Accept, sanitize, and distribute smart phone/tablet donations for clients and providers who cannot afford these devices

Technology Guidance

Technology guidance and training for healthcare providers

Assistive Devices

Purchase and distribute assistive telehealth devices, such as blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, etc., to clients who cannot afford these devices

Policy Guidance

Policy guidance for Healthcare Providers

Technology Installation

Instruct clients and providers on technology installation and application to enable remote health provider services

Billing Guidance

Billing guidance and services for Healthcare Providers

Homebound Assistance

Delivery of services and equipment to homebound individuals by trained staff with safety disinfectant techniques.
